Seven Wonders or the Ancient World
The mention of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is limited in this century, of course you will always hear about Seven Wonders of the World, but keep in mind they're both completely different.
We may think Seven Wonders of the World as a single list, but there were actually a number of lists assembled by different Greek writers. Antipater of Sidon, and Philon of Byzantium, drew up two of the most well-known lists.
Naturally the Greek writers argued which one was the best, but everything has to end. The ones that successfully proceeded to the list were: The Great Pyramid of Egypt, The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, The Statue of Zeus in Olympia, The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, The Colossus of Rhodes, The Lighthouse of Alexandria.
